Does Carbon Laser Treatment Hurt?

The majority of our clients report no pain, only the temporary sensation of a slight warmth and light pricking of their skin.

What do I need to do before the treatment?

Avoid other resurfacing treatments for 2 weeks prior to treatment.

Avoid sun exposure or any other form of tanning prior to a Carbon Laser treatment and use an SPF30+ sunscreen for 2 weeks.

Avoid strong exfoliate or Vitamin A (Retinol) 3 days prior to treatment.

Prepare your skin with prescribed skin care products for at least two weeks prior to treatment.

Remove any creams and make-up prior to treatment.

What do I need to do after the treatment?

Avoid strenuous exercise or sweating for 48 hours.

No rubbing, scrubbing, picking or scratching of the treated skin.

Do not use any active skin care products for 24-48 hours post treatment.

Use mild cleanser to the treated area. Strong soaps (cause dryness), perfumed soaps (cause irritation).

Avoid exposure to the sun after the treatment. It might affect the results. If sun exposure is unavoidable, apply an SPF 30+ sunscreen.

Stay away from Sauna / Steam Baths until skin becomes normal.

How long does the whole procedure take?

We ask you to arrive at the center 30 minutes prior to treatment time for topical numbing cream to be applied and to take effect. The treatment session itself will only take 30-45 mins to finish.

Does Laser Lip Rejuvenation Treatment Hurt?

No anesthesia or numbing agents are necessary because the procedure is virtually painless and has zero downtime recovery. Although you may feel minimal warmth caused by the laser energy all over your lips during the procedure, it will be gone after the treatment.

What is the difference between the Laser Lip Rejuvenation procedure and Injectable Lip Fillers?

The two treatments differ in terms of modality. Lip fillers require injecting hyaluronic acid into your lips for an instantly fuller and symmetrical pout. Some side effects may include bruising, redness, bleeding, and infection from the injection site.

The Laser Lip Rejuvenation procedure on the other hand, provides a more natural solution for achieving fuller lips by boosting your body’s own collagen production for more voluminous and defined natural-looking lips.

This procedure comes with little to no side effects since it only uses heat energy from the laser to stimulate the regeneration of your collagen, making it a safer procedure.

Is the result of the Lip Laser Rejuvenation Treatment Immediate?

This treatment promotes natural collagen regeneration hence, it depends on your body’s natural ability to produce collagen. The results appear subtle and less visible in the first weeks but become more evident after a few sessions.

How long does the whole procedure take?

Each session takes no more than 30 minutes to be completed.

Does DermaPen Treatment Hurt?

A topical anesthetic is applied once requested but the procedure is easily tolerated by most patients.

How many treatments I need before I see results and how long will it stay?

Results on treated skin are immediate but significant results will visibly manifest in 4-6 treatments spaced 2-4 weeks when the pen like hand piece is used.

What will I look like after the treatment?

Most people will experience redness and mild swelling in a similar way as mild sunburn for 24-48 hours and there may be minimal pin-point bleeding and/or bruising. Within a week or two, you will notice that your skin is smoother and more radiant looking but the full effects won’t be seen until a few months later.

How long does the whole procedure take?

Depending on the treatment and treatment area, DermaPen alone is safely done in only 20-30 minutes but may take an hour or two if combined with other treatments, which is often the case.
